The Spokane Watercolor Society's annual Juried National Show had entries from across the nation. Juried by National Award-Winning Artist, David R. Smith, over $1500 in cash and product awards will be presented at the Awards Reception on May 16 from 2:30-5:00 p.m. Admission is free to the Helen South Alexander Gallery (annex) and it is a great "friends and family" activity.

How do we keep our artistic enthusiasm alive? With Artistic Fresh Air! The Spokane Watercolor Society was founded in 1952 by a group of 12 professional artists. Our new SWS members have given us a breath of fresh air — Artistic Fresh Air. This exhibit is to showcase their talents and honor their contribution to the SWS. Stop by the Liberty Gallery in the Historic Liberty Building at 203 N. Washington St this June to see their work ~ stop by the First Friday Reception on June 5 from 5-8pm to meet the artists!

Sherry Syrie is a mixed media artist and middle school art educator who is currently exploring abstract mixed media landscapes. She finds interesting images & materials to piece together in unique ways to create clean, beautiful, and original pieces.

Suzan LeDoux is a printmaker whose work is primarily inspired by the natural world and the beauty of flora & fauna. Through carving, she aims to capture the textures we observe in nature, and the intricate details that often go unnoticed.

Stop by Pottery Place Plus at 203 N. Washington St in the Historic Liberty Building this June to see their work ~ stop by PPP on First Friday June 5 from 5-8pm to meet Sherry & Suzan in person!

Come eat and shop around the world at the Global Food & Art Market! This outdoor market in the Garland District features small businesses from Spokane’s international and multicultural community.

Every Tuesday evening from May through July, shop handmade art & crafts and fair trade items. Enjoy delicious international food, refreshing drinks and fresh-baked pastries. We have a large outdoor dining area and yard games, so you can settle in, enjoy your food, listen to live music, and spend time with your community!

We will be discussing “The Mosquito: A Human History of Our Deadliest Predator" by Timothy C. Winegard at the June meeting.

This book club typically meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month. We meet at Auntie’s Bookstore and it is led by Teri. Please send any inquiries to teri@auntiesbooks.com.

Celebrate Audiobook Month with Wishing Tree Books!
To celebrate Audiobook Month, Wishing Tree Books will be hosting an Audiobook Walk on Tuesday, June 2nd at 6:30PM. Join us for a tutorial on how to join Libro.fm, a relaxing stroll around the South Perry neighborhood while listening to an audiobook of your choosing, and finish at Pacific to Palouse Wine Bar with 10% glass pours! Please bring a smartphone and headphones, or another audiobook listening device. We hope to see you there!

- 6:30PM: Join us at Wishing Tree Books to browse the store, get set up with the Libro.fm app, and enter our Libro.fm credit giveaway!
